Aura Green specializes in supplying clean cooking stoves, an eco-friendly and efficient alternative to the conventional methods that rely heavily on wood and other solid fuels, which contribute to significant health and environmental problems.

Traditional cooking practices in Zimbabwe, particularly in rural areas, often involve the use of open fires or rudimentary stoves that burn wood, charcoal, or other solid fuels. These methods produce harmful smoke and emissions, leading to severe health issues such as respiratory diseases, eye problems, and even premature deaths. Women and children are disproportionately affected, as they are primarily responsible for cooking and are more exposed to indoor air pollution.

Clean cooking stoves significantly reduce the emission of harmful smoke and particulate matter, leading to a substantial decrease in respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. By mitigating indoor air pollution, these stoves help protect the health of women, children, and the elderly. These stoves are also designed to be highly efficient, reducing fuel consumption by up to 60% compared to traditional stoves. This efficiency helps in lowering deforestation rates, as less wood is needed for cooking. Additionally, reduced emissions contribute to combating climate change by lowering carbon footprints.

Aura Green’s clean cooking stoves are therefore more than just a product; they are a transformative solution that addresses multiple facets of societal well-being. By providing access to clean cooking technologies, Aura Green empowers communities, enhances health outcomes, and promotes environmental sustainability. The initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including clean energy, good health, gender equality, and climate action.

Under Aura Oil, Usafi Oil is a Zimbabwean agro-processing subsidiary that produces premium marula oil through a meticulous cold-press process, ensuring that its high antioxidant and Omega fatty acid content is fully preserved for superior skincare benefits. The company champions sustainability and community empowerment by sourcing marula nuts via wild-harvesting programs in rural areas like Plumtree, empowering local women with income and entrepreneurial skills while fostering economic growth. Employing a zero-waste approach, every part of the fruit is repurposed—pulp and leaves become food and medicinal resources, shells are transformed into biochar to enrich soil, and dried kernels serve as animal feed—maximizing resource use and minimizing environmental impact.. Additionally, profits are reinvested into local infrastructure projects, such as schools, boreholes, and community halls, with expansion plans targeting districts like Mutoko, Gutu, and Binga. By pursuing global certifications like Fair-Wild and Ecocert, Aura Oil and its subsidiary Usafi Oil exemplify a commitment to responsible business practices that merge social impact with international market success.
